Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to private lessons, group lessons, lesson packages and monthly subscriptions purchased from Korean Learning Club (“Korean Learning Club”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Trading name: Korean Learning Club
Business address: Utrecht, Netherlands
Chamber of Commerce number: 95982671
Customer service email: yurimkorean00@gmail.com
Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory rights that you have under Dutch or other applicable consumer law.
1. Monthly subscriptions and automatic renewal
Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month using the payment method on file until they are cancelled.
Before purchase, we will show the subscription price, billing frequency, included lessons or services, any minimum term, and the applicable cancellation conditions.
You may manage or cancel your subscription through My Account. You may also give written notice by emailing yurimkorean00@gmail.com.
Cancellation can be submitted at any time. We recommend cancelling at least seven days before your next billing date to allow enough time to resolve any payment or account issue. This seven-day recommendation does not prevent you from submitting a later cancellation and does not limit any mandatory cancellation rights.
Unless otherwise required by law:
- cancellation stops future automatic renewals;
- access continues until the end of the period already paid for;
- cancelling a subscription does not automatically refund the current billing period; and
- a cancellation will take effect no later than the maximum notice period permitted by applicable law.
Your next billing date and subscription status can be viewed in My Account in the secure Stripe Customer Portal.
2. Statutory 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer and purchase a service online, you will generally have the right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days from the date the service contract is concluded, unless a statutory exception applies.
You can exercise this right through the clearly marked Withdraw from Purchase function on our website or by sending an unambiguous withdrawal statement to yurimkorean00@gmail.com. You may also use the model withdrawal form available on that page, but use of that form is not compulsory.
- Subscription cancellation stops future renewals.
- Statutory withdrawal reverses an eligible online purchase made within the statutory withdrawal period.
3. Starting lessons during the withdrawal period
If you want lessons or other services to begin during the 14-day withdrawal period, we will ask you to expressly request early performance before the service begins.
If you then exercise your right of withdrawal after the service has started, you must pay a proportionate amount for the services supplied up to the time you notify us of your withdrawal, provided that we obtained the legally required request and consent.
For a lesson package or billing period, the proportionate amount will normally be calculated using the price paid and the number or proportion of included lessons or services already supplied. We will not charge an arbitrary withdrawal or administration penalty.
Taking one lesson does not, by itself, remove the statutory right of withdrawal where the contracted service has not yet been fully performed.
If the entire contracted service is completed during the withdrawal period, the right of withdrawal will end only where all legal requirements have been met, including your prior express consent to full performance and your acknowledgement that the right will be lost once the service has been fully performed.
If we start providing services during the withdrawal period without obtaining the request or consent required by law, you will not be charged for the part supplied where applicable law provides that result.
4. Refunds before and after the first lesson
Before the first lesson
If your first lesson has not yet started, you may request cancellation and a refund. Any statutory withdrawal right takes priority over this voluntary refund policy.
A scheduled private lesson must still be changed or cancelled in accordance with the 24-hour rule in Section 5.
After the first lesson
Once the first lesson included in a package, programme or current subscription period has taken place, the remaining lessons for that package, programme or billing period are non-refundable under our voluntary refund policy.
This restriction does not apply where a refund or other remedy is required by law, including:
- a valid exercise of the statutory right of withdrawal;
- failure by Korean Learning Club to provide the agreed service;
- a materially defective or non-conforming service; or
- another mandatory consumer right.
5. Private lessons
A private lesson may be rescheduled without charge if you contact us at least 24 hours before its scheduled starting time.
If you cancel or request a change less than 24 hours before the lesson, or do not attend, the lesson will normally be treated as used and will not be refunded or replaced. We may make an exception at our discretion for a documented emergency. This does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
If Korean Learning Club or the teacher cancels a private lesson, you will be offered a replacement lesson. If a reasonable replacement cannot be provided, you will receive a credit or a proportionate refund for the affected lesson.
6. Group lessons and absences
A group lesson place reserves capacity for the enrolled student. If you miss a group lesson, the lesson cannot normally be moved to another date and no attendance-based refund or credit is provided.
Where stated as part of the course, enrolled students who miss a group lesson will receive access to the lesson recording for the access period shown in My Account.
Recordings are provided only for the personal learning use of enrolled students. They may not be downloaded, copied, published, forwarded or shared with other people unless we expressly permit it.
We will take reasonable measures to limit access and protect participant privacy. Further information about recording, access, storage and deletion is provided in our Privacy Policy and lesson notice.
If Korean Learning Club cancels a group lesson and does not provide a reasonable replacement, you will receive an appropriate replacement, credit or proportionate refund.
7. WhatsApp communication
WhatsApp is used only for lesson-related communication with current subscription students, such as scheduling updates, practical lesson information and teacher–student communication.
WhatsApp is not our primary channel for subscription management, payment disputes, refund requests or statutory withdrawal. Please use My Account, the online withdrawal function or yurimkorean00@gmail.com for those matters so that the request can be properly recorded and confirmed.
This communication preference does not restrict any mandatory right to give a legally valid notice by another permitted method.
8. Refund processing
Where a refund is due, it will normally be returned using the original payment method.
Refunds following a valid statutory withdrawal will be made within the period required by applicable law, generally no later than 14 days after we receive the withdrawal notice.
Bank and payment-provider processing times may affect when the refunded amount appears in your account.
9. Payment failures and access
If a recurring payment fails, we may ask you to update your payment method through My Account. Access to lessons or subscription materials may be suspended while an overdue payment remains unresolved, provided this is permitted by applicable law.
We will not use WhatsApp to request card details or other sensitive payment information.
10. Complaints and statutory rights
Questions or complaints about lessons, subscriptions or refunds should be sent to yurimkorean00@gmail.com. Please include your name, order or subscription reference, and a short description of the issue.
We will review complaints within a reasonable period and seek an appropriate solution.
This Policy is governed by Dutch law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law applicable to them.
